Team 4935 was founded in 2013 with a grant from Bosch Rexroth. With the support of the then Renaissance School of the Arts, the team competed for the first time during the 2014-2015 Season.
T-Rex 4935 is a community supported, volunteer staffed, 501C3 charity that provides an authentic work-based learning experience for high school students between the ages of 14 and 18. We provide a broad spectrum of workplace experiences such as collaborative problem solving and working in cross functional teams as well as individual soft skills like communication and personal responsibility.
FIRST describes the FIRST Robotics Competition as “The varsity Sport for the mind.” Students build and program robots to participate in a global competition while challenged to raise funds, design a team brand, hone teamwork skills, and inspire and attract other students to STEAM-related activities and education. Like all FRC teams, Team 4935 is a collective of mentors, parents, and students.
